Create profiles in collaboration tools & make them public

Even a short description on your profile (position, team, what you do) plus a photo will make it much easier to know you. It also limits the number of basic questions from other people from the company about what you do.

Think about uploading your photo + basic information on what you do for basic tools:

  • Google → edit the profile Link
  • Google → create a Gmail signature Link
  • Slack → edit the profile Link
  • Jira, here is how to edit the profile Link
  • Knowledge base (e.g. Confluence)
  • Code repository
  • You can also link from one profile to another to give people full picture of what you do without asking about it.

Here is an example of the number of people an employee typically collaborates with → make it easy to learn about you from your profiles
