Organize your Slack sidebar by teams and features you work with

Did you know you can organise your Slack sidebar to perfectly fit your workflow? 🎯 Whether you’re in sales, development, or production, creating custom sections in Slack can make your day-to-day more efficient. 🔧 Why Sections? Sections let you group your starred channels, DMs, and apps in a way that makes sense to you. Keep your most important conversations and tools at the top and easily accessible.

Here’s how:

• start on your desktop: begin by clicking Home in Slack
• locate channels: in the left-hand sidebar, find and click on the channels section
• create a Section: hover over Create and select Create section from the menu
• name Your Section: enter a name for your new section or choose from one of the suggested names
• add a touch of personality: click on the smiley face icon to pick an emoji that will appear next to your section name
• finalise: hit Create and your new section is ready to go!

To create new custom sections and move multiple conversations at once, click any section name, then choose Manage > Edit all sections. More here, and here
