When you're not working, disconnect from chats & email by turning notifications off on your phone

When you're not working, disconnect by turning off Slack, Gmail, and other notifications. The easiest way to do it is by customising your phone.

Enable Personal mode on your iPhone

  1. Go to Settings → Focus
  2. Tap a Personal
  3. Silence notifications for chosen apps
  4. Set a schedule and choose Time according to your no-working hours

Enable Focus mode on you Android 10 or later

  1. Go to Settings → Digital Wellbeing & parental controls
  2. Tap a Focus mode
  3. Silence notifications for chosen apps
  4. Set a schedule if you want Focus Mode to auto-activate on a schedule.

You can also turn off notifications directly in the systems you work, but this is a less automated solution, as you will not be able to automatically schedule notifications off for Gmail.
